Even though this is a "Resort" finding it online for $39 a night with 2 queen beds is crazy! Staying here for 2 nights making it $19.50 CAD each in total for both nights, is something we can live with. The reviews online make is sound wonderful having the "staff" meet you at the dock and push your "luggage" (backpacks) up the trail to the hotel. Even though this is a little more posh then we would usually do on this trip, I think it will be well worth it!! As my grandma always said "sometimes you've got to treat yourself."
Activities:
Hike
There is a hike to Phi Phi Viewpoint that is supposed to require a little bit of cardio but the photos will thank you later. The hike is 20 minutes long, bringing you to a 600ft high viewpoint overlooking the island. From what I have heard/read it's best to do this at either sunset or sunrise to get the ultimate "wow factor." It has an entrance fee of 30TBH ($1CAD) but can you really put a price on a gorgeous sunset???
Monkey Beach
Monkey Beach is apparently the most beautiful beach in all of Thailand from what many of the travel bloggers that I follow have said. First off, it is a powdered white sand beach with clear waters...Who doesn't love a gorgeous beach?! Secondly, it is combined with its other attraction, the fact that monkeys will actually come down and interact with you. They are so used to tourists that they will jump on your shoulders and visit with you, but watch out for shiny valuable belongings or food... They have been known to be quite cheeky... This is cool and all but when I read about it I wonder if the route of their aggression towards humans and food/sugar is an aspect of seeing tourism at its worst?

Feed the Sharks
When I read about this activity, my heart started beating way to fast. Feeding sharks?!?! It's way to scary but getting out of my comfort zone is what this whole trip is about... right? Its a 6 hour journey that leaves VERY early in the morning costing around 500TBH ($18 CAD) depending on what company you book with. I am going to need some major convincing before embarking on this adventure!! Eeeek!
Captain Bob's Sailing Booze Cruise
This is something that can bring all the good things about traveling together, good people, good music, good sights, the ocean, and alcohol. This sounds like a good time from many different reviews. Leaving Tonsai Bay at 1pm you get to go on an adventure visiting Maya Bay, Monkey Bay, Loh Samah, Wang Long Coe, and Pi-Leh Bay. Food is included in the price offering you Lunch, fruit, snack and unlimited beer for 2,500THB. You save money on food during a regular day, and gaining awesome memories while yet again, catching another unreal sunset from the boat.
Food:
Food is supposed to be the cheapest in Ton Sai Village which is full of "open-air local restaurants" located near the beach strip and is priced between 35-70 THB a dish. The restaurants located on the beach have higher prices and if you order western food you are going to be paying way more. No better way to embrace the local cuisine then the $ factor! Thai food is already one of my favourite cuisines here in Canada, and I cannot even imagine how much better it is going to be over there.
Transportation:
We will be leaving Koh Phi Phi on a ferry on May 24th at 9:00am and heading over to Phuket arriving at 11:00am (2 hours). This ride will be $13.63 CAD booked through Phuket Ferry.
